Desktop Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to join the IT team at Servers.com. You will provide fast, effective technical assistance on computer systems, support office users and contribute to IT projects across our Guildford office.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for IT‑related issues and maintain office systems.
• Manage user lifecycle processes including onboarding, off‑boarding and permission administration.
• Configure and administer SaaS platforms such as Google Workspace, Jira and Slack.
• Execute IT project tasks including audits, process automation, data migration and implementation of new tools.
• Maintain accurate inventory of hardware and software assets and oversee their lifecycle.
• Install and configure network equipment and commission new facilities.
• Prepare user manuals and documentation for software setup and usage.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of desktop environments and ability to communicate solutions clearly.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Jira (Datacenter/Cloud) administration.
• Familiarity with Mobile Device Management solutions.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure and related protocols.
• Proficiency in Linux, macOS and Windows system administration.

What we offer

• Salary range £27,000 – £35,000 per annum.
• 40‑hour week (9 am‑6 pm) with hybrid work: office based Monday‑Thursday, remote Friday.
