Desktop Support Technician

About the role

AmTrust is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join its London office. You will deliver Level 1 technical assistance for a range of end‑user devices, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved quickly and documented accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, network connectivity, VPN, email, printing and collaboration tools both onsite and remotely.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including device deployment, account validation and equipment recovery.
• Support meeting rooms, workstation setups, office moves and general end‑user technology needs.
• Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles and asset inventory records.
• Escalate complex issues to specialist teams while retaining ownership of the user experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience in desktop support, help‑desk or service‑desk environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and Wi‑Fi troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
