Despatch Operative – Full‑Time Temporary to Permanent

About the role

We are seeking a Despatch Operative to support the Despatch Team Leader in a busy warehouse in Swindon. The position starts as a temporary role with the prospect of becoming permanent, working full‑time Monday‑Thursday 9:30 am–6:00 pm and Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Apply export compliance knowledge to all dispatch activities.
• Communicate with the sales team to resolve customer order queries.
• Maintain FIFO and batch traceability rules.
• Monitor and report daily Despatch KPI performance.
• Pick and pack orders efficiently.
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
• Undertake any additional duties requested by management.

Required profile

• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• High level of numeracy and literacy.
• Previous experience with a complex picking system and in a despatch environment.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced warehouse.
