About the role
A well-established industrial coatings manufacturer specialising in water-based products is recruiting a Development Chemist in Wrexham. The role suits a chemist or technical professional who wants hands-on product development and customer-facing work, working closely with experienced technical managers. It is based in Wrexham with UK customer visits.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and improve new and existing products
- Conduct laboratory testing, prepare samples and investigate technical issues
- Support customer trials, product applications and technical troubleshooting
- Work closely with production, quality control and sales teams
Required profile
- Experience in a chemical or laboratory background
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work directly with customers
- Relevant Chemistry or Materials qualification is advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence is essential
