Development Executive – Commercial Insurance (Hybrid/Field)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Development Executive to drive new business for a growing commercial insurance brokerage based in Bolton. The role is hybrid, combining field visits with office work, and focuses on generating and converting commercial insurance opportunities. You will be the primary point of contact for prospective clients, guiding them through the underwriting process and ensuring their coverage needs are met. Success will be measured by the volume of new premiums written and the strength of client relationships you develop.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure new commercial insurance business across the North West region.
• Build a client portfolio from the ground up or expand an existing book of business.
• Meet with clients to assess risks, propose tailored insurance solutions and close deals.
• Maintain and develop a personal sales pipeline, tracking activity and performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial insurance sales or a similar development role.
• Demonstrated ability to win and grow business independently.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and comfortable working away from a desk.
