About the role
The client is a globally recognised insurer operating from prestigious city‑centre offices in Manchester. They are seeking an experienced Development Underwriter to join their Property and Casualty team and drive profitable growth through broker relationships and new business underwriting.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with key brokers across the region.
- Underwrite new business and strategically appropriate renewals.
- Identify and develop less‑aligned accounts to achieve growth targets.
- Support the branch’s profit objectives by managing risk and pricing.
Required profile
- Proven underwriting experience in Property and Casualty insurance.
- Strong commercial focus with a track record of profitable portfolio growth.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Established presence in the North West insurance market.
Required skills
- Underwriting expertise in commercial Property and Casualty.
