DevOps Cloud Engineer / Linux Systems Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a senior DevOps Cloud Engineer with a strong Linux Systems Administration background to join our fast‑moving financial technology team in London. The role involves building and maintaining low‑latency trading platforms both on‑premise and in the cloud, and supporting client implementations of our technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver automated multi‑account global cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Enhance automation of cloud and on‑premise processes with Ansible, Python and other tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to productionise new technologies and workflows.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines, build servers and virtual environments.
• Assist the Linux team with deployment, OS and hardware maintenance using configuration management tools.
• Perform systems capacity planning for development, QA, test and production environments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience architecting, building and operating systems on multi‑account AWS and GCP platforms.
• Strong background in Linux system administration (RedHat/CentOS or similar).
• Previous experience in financial or banking environments.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies and monitoring.
