DevOps Engineer – AWS Cloud & Automation

About the role

You will design, build and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure and automated deployment pipelines. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD optimisation and supporting containerised workloads while collaborating with engineering teams to improve reliability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and manage remote state securely.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines that include automated testing, security scanning and deployment.
• Deploy and support containerised workloads on Kubernetes or AWS ECS/EKS.
• Develop secure IAM policies following least‑privilege principles.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting to enhance platform reliability.
• Support production environments, participate in incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Maintain networking, storage, compute and database services in AWS.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve automation and platform performance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, etc.).
• Proficiency with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes or ECS.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Passion for automation, reliability and continuous improvement.
