DevOps Engineer (Azure) – Hybrid London

About the role

We are supporting a major organisation developing a new mobile application capability and need an experienced DevOps Engineer to build the engineering platform that underpins the programme. The role will be part of a newly formed mobile app development team, working in a hybrid/flexible environment in London.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure supporting mobile and digital applications.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation best practices across development and production environments.
• Support mobile application development teams with deployment, release management and platform tooling.
• Build monitoring, alerting and observability capabilities to ensure platform reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with front‑end, back‑end and mobile engineers to create a scalable and resilient engineering ecosystem.
• Drive continuous improvement across DevOps processes, cloud operations and security practices.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proven expertise building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates or similar IaC technologies.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and containerised environments.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
• Good understanding of cloud security, networking and operational best practices.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills.
