DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & AI‑Enhanced Automation

About the role

IQGeo is looking for a DevOps Engineer to join its Cambridge team and help streamline the software development lifecycle for global engineering groups. You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, internal tooling and infrastructure‑as‑code, while leveraging AI‑assisted development to boost release velocity.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing and releases.
• Create and support internal tooling for code quality analysis, dependency management and automated testing.
• Implement infrastructure as code for development environments using Terraform and related tools.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to automate manual processes and reduce cognitive load.
• Coordinate penetration testing, code/virus scanning and communicate findings.
• Use AI coding assistants and AI‑driven security scanning to accelerate pipeline configuration and ensure code quality.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to support production issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a distributed remote team.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficient scripting in Python, BASH and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code expertise using Terraform.
