DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Platform Automation

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will design, build, and continuously improve the environments, CI/CD pipelines, and platform automation that enable product teams to deliver changes safely and quickly. Working closely with multiple Agile product teams, you will ensure that environments, deployment tooling, and infrastructure are ready before development starts, removing blockers and accelerating time‑to‑market.

Key responsibilities

• Embed within Agile product teams, participating in sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives and release planning.
• Identify and prioritize DevOps deliverables alongside application work to ensure environment and pipeline readiness.
• Own the creation, lifecycle management, and refresh of Development, SIT, UAT, Pre‑Production and Production environments using Infrastructure as Code.
• Design, build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, automating builds, unit tests, security scans, packaging, deployment and release approvals.
• Remove technical blockers that could delay sprint commitments or release milestones.
• Support multiple product teams simultaneously while maintaining a focus on delivery quality and speed.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in Agile product teams and supporting continuous delivery.
• Strong Python scripting skills for automation and pipeline development.
• Hands‑on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building and managing environments using Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Ability to coordinate environment refreshes, patching, cloning and test data management.
