DevOps Engineer – Cloud & Automation

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team in the United Kingdom. You will own end‑to‑end infrastructure projects, from design through implementation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring our delivery pipelines and environments are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, manage, and optimise VMs and infrastructure‑as‑code across development, staging, and production.
• Monitor system health, configure alerting, and lead incident response workflows.
• Implement auto‑scaling, load balancing, disaster‑recovery, and security controls.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Write and optimise Dockerfiles, manage container images, and enforce RBAC and network policies.
• Configure VPCs, subnets, security groups, DNS, and load balancers while applying zero‑trust principles.
• Administer PostgreSQL databases, manage backups, replication, and performance tuning.
• Maintain Git repositories, branching strategies, and code‑review processes.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven experience deploying and managing VMs across multiple cloud providers.
• Strong production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Solid understanding of Linux system administration and Bash scripting.

• Docker (multi‑stage builds, Compose, image management)
• Infrastructure‑as‑code and VM provisioning
• GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins (CI/CD, secrets management)
• PostgreSQL administration, backup/recovery, replication
