DevOps Engineer

About the role

Gemba Advantage designs and runs secure, cloud‑native platforms for critical public‑sector organisations across the UK. We are looking for Junior and DevOps Engineers who are eager to learn, automate, and contribute to high‑impact projects within an agile delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Research, prototype and deliver novel solutions to client challenges.
• Automate infrastructure and processes to support development teams.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for software delivery.
• Participate in technical reviews, provide feedback and assist with fault fixing and maintenance.
• Document practices, share knowledge and stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies.

Required profile

• Active, or recently active, SC or DV security clearance (essential).
• Proactive attitude toward learning, problem‑solving and improving how things are built.
• Basic competence with programming or scripting languages.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS preferred), IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and cloud‑native tech (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with version control (Git), databases, APIs and a strong information‑security focus.
