DevOps Engineer

About the role

Teza, a systematic trading firm, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve its infrastructure platform that supports quants, developers and traders. The role will shape tooling choices, establish standards and build scalable systems across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement full‑stack observability including metrics, logging, tracing and alerting for internal services.
• Develop self‑service compute orchestration for Slurm, Hadoop and Airflow workloads.
• Implement mature secrets management with rotation, auditing and integration into deployment pipelines.
• Create unified release pipelines for trading strategies, data pipelines and real‑time systems.
• Maintain shared platform services such as identity management, VPN, GitHub Actions runners and observability tooling.
• Ensure a strong security posture through network segmentation, access controls and vulnerability management.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and operating internal platform services (CI/CD, compute, monitoring, developer tooling).
• Deep knowledge of Linux systems administration and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or similar).
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and how infrastructure supports engineering teams.
• Familiarity with ML and data‑intensive workflows, including GPU scheduling and reproducible environments.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP or Azure) covering networking, IAM and managed services.
