DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will drive automation, optimise deployment pipelines and embed DevOps principles across development and operational teams at TP ICAP Group. You will work closely with developers, architects and central technology teams to improve software delivery, reliability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Support adoption of agile and DevOps practices across engineering teams.
• Automate build, deployment and release processes for on‑premise and cloud applications.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and associated tooling.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation of microservices, containerised workloads and serverless solutions.
• Develop automation solutions for environment provisioning, monitoring and logging.
• Collaborate with cloud, platform and development teams to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to promote best‑practice engineering approaches.
• Continuously improve engineering tooling, processes and standards.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and operating systems including Windows and Linux.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, JavaScript).
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, TFS, CloudBees).
• Experience with containerisation technologies and writing Dockerfiles/manifests.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Experience working within agile delivery teams.
