DevOps Engineer

About the role

Oscar Technology is rebuilding its cloud platform from the ground up using a modern AWS stack. As a DevOps Engineer you will own a clean, containerised environment, drive automation and help scale a high‑traffic platform as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate a production‑grade AWS platform, ensuring security, scalability, reliability and cost‑efficiency.
• Manage containerised workloads with ECS Fargate.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Build, improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines with blue/green deployments and automated rollback.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and observability across the stack.
• Optimise cloud spend through FinOps best practices.
• Participate in a small on‑call rotation for production support.

Required profile

• Proven experience owning production cloud environments, preferably on AWS.
• Comfort with container platforms, especially ECS Fargate.
• Strong background in Terraform and IaC principles.
• Experience delivering high‑availability, high‑throughput services.
• Ability to work closely with engineering teams to drive automation.
