DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level)

About the role

We are looking for a Mid‑Level DevOps Engineer to shape our cloud platform strategy, influence engineering culture and drive automation at scale. You will act as a technical authority, partnering with onshore and offshore teams to build a modern, serverless AWS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and subject‑matter expertise across DevOps and cloud engineering.
• Influence architectural decisions within AWS serverless ecosystems.
• Design, build and evolve robust CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable delivery.
• Partner with development teams to ensure solutions are scalable, resilient and production‑ready.
• Champion reliability engineering practices, including monitoring, alerting and incident response.
• Drive high availability and operational excellence through proactive troubleshooting and optimisation.
• Define and enforce Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and immutable infrastructure standards.
• Lead design reviews, architectural discussions and code reviews.
• Establish strong security practices, ensuring systems and data are protected by design.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay ahead of emerging DevOps and cloud technologies and introduce valuable improvements.

Required profile

• Significant experience in DevOps or platform engineering within cloud‑native environments.
• Strong software engineering background with hands‑on development experience.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Pragmatic, collaborative mindset with a platform‑engineering approach.

Required skills

• AWS services: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, ECS, RDS, AWS SAM.
• CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and immutable infrastructure.
• Networking and security: VPC, security groups, VPN.
• Reliability engineering: monitoring, alerting, incident response.
