DevOps Engineering Intern

About the role

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Engineering Interns who want to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical industry exposure aligned with UK standards. This remote internship offers hands‑on experience with modern cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration while working under expert mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in building, deploying, and maintaining cloud‑based applications.
• Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.
• Work with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability.
• Help provision infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Troubleshoot deployment and environment issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams.
• Maintain technical documentation following UK professional standards.

Required profile

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong willingness to learn DevOps practices and cloud technologies.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely under mentor supervision.

Required skills

• Basic Linux command knowledge.
• Fundamentals of networking.
• Programming or scripting experience, preferably Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Introductory understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Basic exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or CI/CD concepts.
• Awareness of Agile methodologies.
