DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on DevSecOps Engineer to embed security directly into the software development lifecycle while actively contributing to engineering, automation, and cloud platform delivery. The role works closely with software, platform, and security teams to build secure‑by‑design solutions on AWS.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS‑native tools.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing.
• Create automation scripts and tooling with Python, Go, TypeScript or similar languages.
• Implement container security for Kubernetes and Docker environments.
• Integrate vulnerability scanning, compliance checks and monitoring into engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve secure coding practices.
• Support threat modelling, secure architecture reviews and incident‑response automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, SRE or Software Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services (IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, CloudWatch, VPC, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, GuardDuty).
• Solid background in Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

What we offer

• Competitive salary range £65,000 – £90,000 per year.
