Diagnostic Technician

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time Diagnostic Technician to join our Ashford team. You will deliver high‑quality vehicle servicing and repairs using the latest diagnostic technology, ensuring issues are identified and resolved to manufacturer and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard
• Diagnose faults using advanced computer‑based diagnostic equipment
• Inspect mechanical and electrical components accurately
• Repair or replace defective parts and resolve issues efficiently
• Conduct DVSA vehicle testing
• Road‑test vehicles to confirm successful repairs
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
• Follow checklists and procedures to ensure all work is completed correctly
• Complete all required documentation accurately and to standard

Required profile

• Genuine passion for working on vehicles and learning new technologies
• Enjoy communicating with customers and providing reassurance
• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in the automotive industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work to high standards and meet deadlines
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Full UK driving licence
