Diesel Fitter – Hydraulic & ESP Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Diesel Fitter to join a specialist supplier of hydraulic and electric submersible pumps. The role involves dismantling, repairing and fitting diesel pumps, gearboxes and engines across our workshop and customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Split working time between the company workshop and customer locations.
• Dismantle, diagnose and fit a range of diesel pumps and engines.
• Carry out repair work on pumps, gearboxes and engines in the workshop.
• Visit customer sites across Manchester as required.
• Attend call‑outs for breakdowns according to the company rota.

Required profile

• Apprentice‑trained in mechanical engineering.
• Previous experience in diesel fitting, preferably on pumps or engines.
• Confidence in stripping, repairing and fitting mechanical components.
• Marine sector experience is a plus.
• Based within a commutable distance of Wokingham.
• Full driving licence (non‑negotiable).

What we offer

• £18.55 per hour (£37,619 per annum).
• Full‑time, 39‑hour week (Mon‑Thu 08:00‑16:30, Fri 08:00‑15:30).
