Digital Apprenticeship Assessor

About the role

Decoded is looking for a Digital Apprenticeship Assessor to evaluate apprentices against Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSBs) for Data Technician, Data Analyst, Digital Support Technician and Machine Learning standards. The role ensures fair, valid and compliant assessment decisions throughout the learner journey.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct high‑quality assessments of apprentices using projects, professional discussions and observations.
• Maintain accurate assessment records and ensure compliance with DfE, Assessment Organisation and IQA guidelines.
• Work with Learner Support Coaching to determine apprentice readiness for formal assessment.
• Apply equality, diversity and inclusion principles throughout the assessment process.
• Stay up‑to‑date with occupational knowledge of data and AI tools and participate in standardisation activities.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience assessing data or digital apprenticeship standards.
• Assessor qualification (TAQA, A1, CAVA or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of data collection, analysis and interpretation.
• Experience using AI tools and a proactive, data‑driven mindset.
