Digital, Social & Creative Content Manager

About the role

The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is seeking a Digital, Social & Creative Content Manager to lead the creation and delivery of compelling digital and social media campaigns. Working in a hybrid model, you will help translate complex data‑rights topics into engaging content that reaches the public, media and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, produce and publish digital, social and creative content across ICO channels.
• Develop and execute multi‑channel campaigns that raise awareness of information‑rights issues.
• Manage relationships with national print and broadcast media, securing placements and building a contacts database.
• Grow and nurture the ICO’s social media following, identifying new ways to engage audiences.
• Ensure the ICO website reflects the breadth of guidance and regulatory work.

Required profile

• Proven experience in digital, social and creative content creation within a public‑sector or regulatory environment.
• Strong storytelling ability, capable of simplifying complex policy topics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting and travel to the Manchester office as needed.

Required skills

• Experience planning and executing digital campaigns.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and analytics.
• Knowledge of content management systems and website publishing.

• Fixed‑term contract up to 12 months with a salary of £57,815‑£65,021 per year.
