Digital Support Worker – Hepatology Team

About the role

The Hepatology team at University Hospital Southampton is seeking a full‑time Digital Support Worker (Band 4) to support the My Medical Record platform. You will help monitor liver disease patients, promote engagement, and ensure safe, timely care within a multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Use the My Medical Record system to track patient surveillance and data.
• Collaborate with the Hepatology multidisciplinary team and another Digital Support Worker.
• Provide administrative and IT support to ensure smooth operation of digital workflows.
• Assist patients and staff in accessing and understanding digital health information.

Required profile

• NVQ or apprenticeship Level 3 in Health (or equivalent).
• Numeracy and literacy skills at Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience in a caring role and familiarity with an acute hospital environment.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize workload and adapt to pressure.
• Willingness to undertake further training and a strong interest in digital/IT.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hospital information systems.
• Experience using the My Medical Record platform.
