Digital Trader & Merchandiser

About the role

We are looking for a Digital Trader & Merchandiser to join a fast‑growing online retail business. In this hybrid position you will own the on‑site trading and merchandising for key product categories, using data and customer insight to maximise conversion, margin and revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Support the delivery of online trading and merchandising across key product categories.
• Optimise onsite customer journeys to improve conversion and user experience.
• Manage category structure, product sequencing, filters and taxonomy.
• Own promotional execution onsite, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately and on time.
• Monitor and analyse performance across key ecommerce KPIs including sales, conversion, AOV and margin.
• Use data to identify opportunities, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.
• Work closely with marketing, buying, operations and digital teams to deliver trading plans.
• Support SEO activity and onsite optimisation to improve visibility and traffic.
• Conduct competitor analysis across pricing, product and promotional activity.
• Align merchandising with seasonal trends, demand and product availability.
• Support homepage and onsite builds in collaboration with design and development teams.

Required profile

• Experience within ecommerce trading, merchandising or a digital retail environment.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs and how to influence performance.
• Confidence analysing data and using insight to drive decisions.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership.
