Director, Antibody Discovery

About the role

Quotient Therapeutics is seeking a Director (or Senior Director) of Antibody Discovery to define and lead its antibody discovery strategy, driving therapeutic antibody projects from target identification through IND submission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on the feasibility of antibody targets and design high‑value drug molecules.
• Present discovery strategies to internal R&D committees to secure capital commitments.
• Lead construct design, format selection and developability assessments aligned with target product profiles.
• Perform lead sequence and format optimization using rational, structure‑based and AI/ML approaches.
• Drive rapid iterative cycles of design, build, test and learn for novel antibodies and protein therapeutics.
• Lead cross‑functional matrix teams through lead generation, candidate nomination and IND filing.
• Select and manage external CROs, vendors and academic collaborators to build a virtual discovery platform.
• Maintain networks of external experts to validate hypotheses and refine strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience advancing protein therapeutics through discovery to development.
• Deep expertise in structure‑based protein engineering and antibody design (multispecifics, Fc engineering, fusion proteins).
• Strong background in antibody engineering using in silico, AI/ML, display technologies, humanization and developability assessment.
• Project leadership in pharmaceutical R&D across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Track record of championing new technologies for accelerated antibody design and characterization.
• Desirable: experience in early‑stage biotech, genomics‑driven target discovery, and cellular assay development.
