Director, Delta One Trading, Equity Derivatives

About the role

We are looking for a Director to lead Delta One trading across European and U.S. equity derivative markets. The role will manage total return swap (TRS) books, drive inventory and capital optimisation, and develop systematic hedging and alpha generation strategies. You will work closely with technology teams to enhance in‑house trade management systems and scale the D1 trading lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage European and U.S. TRS books, ensuring real‑time risk hedging during market hours.
• Develop and implement inventory and capital optimisation strategies to achieve outperformance.
• Collaborate with IT to upgrade and evolve in‑house trade management platforms.
• Redesign the Delta One trading lifecycle to support business scalability across EMEA.
• Design systematic hedging and alpha strategies for European and U.S. markets.
• Mentor junior traders, delegate workloads and foster a high‑performance team culture.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 9 years of sell‑side trading experience with deep knowledge of trading workflows.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Strong work ethic, ability to think quickly and solve complex trading, risk and operations problems.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and collaborate within a team.
