Director, Drug Development Project Management & Pipeline Strategy

About the role

This senior position partners with Quotient’s drug development leaders and matrix teams to turn scientific strategy into integrated, executable drug development plans. The Director oversees planning, execution, and cross‑functional coordination for early‑stage pipeline projects, ensuring readiness for key review milestones and alignment with the company’s genetics‑driven discovery platform.

Key responsibilities

• Translate overarching drug development strategy into detailed, cross‑functional project plans with defined scope, milestones, critical paths, and risk registers.
• Run and structure matrix project meetings, prepare agendas, pre‑reads, minutes and action logs, and drive decision closure.
• Maintain governance‑ready dashboards, status summaries and decision logs for Executive and Board reviews.
• Coordinate budgets with finance, track spend versus plan, and manage contracts with CROs and external partners.
• Support resource forecasting, risk and issue management, and compliance documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Partner with Research Operations and Strategy to build a holistic view of the R&D pipeline and conduct scenario‑based analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of project‑management experience in drug development within pharma or biotech, using matrixed team structures.
• Strong knowledge of drug discovery, clinical development principles and regulatory strategy.
• Proven ability to apply project‑management methodologies and tools to complex, multi‑disciplinary programs.

Required skills

• Microsoft Project or equivalent project‑management software.
• Smartsheet (or similar collaborative planning tool).
• Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• AI and knowledge‑management platforms such as ChatGPT, Claude, CoPilot, Notion.
• SharePoint for document and tracker repositories.
