Director - Economic Advisory Energy

About the role

This senior position will lead the newly created Economic Advisory practice focused on Energy, Power & Utilities. You will work directly with energy companies, investors, regulators and government bodies to address complex commercial and policy challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Lead economic advisory engagements across the energy and utilities market.
• Advise clients on regulatory, competition, market design and strategic issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders in industry, government and regulatory bodies.
• Drive business development and contribute to the growth of the practice.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight across complex projects.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Support the development of the team's market profile and thought leadership.

Required profile

• Significant experience in economic consulting, advisory, regulation, government or industry.
• Strong expertise in regulatory economics, competition economics, market design, valuation or quantitative analysis.
• Deep understanding of the Energy, Power & Utilities sector.
• Proven track record delivering high‑profile advisory projects and managing senior client relationships.
• Strong commercial instincts with the ability to identify and win new business.
• Experience leading teams and managing multiple workstreams.
