Director, Enterprise Architect

About the role

FTSE Russell, a subsidiary of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), is looking for a Director, Enterprise Architect to shape its technology landscape. The role bridges business strategy and technology, designing platforms for market data, portfolio and index management and financial data analytics, and sits at the forefront of the group's AI transformation. It is based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Pioneer AI-native governance: lead AI agents that automate architecture governance from assessment to permit to operate, and run AI-assisted architecture reviews
• Champion LSEG's architecture standards and define common patterns with engineering leads
• Translate complex requirements into designs balancing cost, security, scalability, testability and maintainability
• Shape the technology vision supporting FTSE Russell's ambition to be the world's leading benchmark and indices provider
• Architect high-performance infrastructure on AWS and drive adoption of AI and emerging technologies
• Build an Engineering-Research partnership so data science can flourish
• Partner with product, engineering, operations and other business leaders, and mentor cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Significant background in market data, portfolio/index management or financial data analytics
• Proven success leading enterprise architecture in financial services, indexing and/or market data analytics
• Proven track record of large-scale technology transformations
• Good communication skills with the ability to influence C-level executives
• Capital markets expertise and a balanced view of engineering, operations and financial product

Required skills

• AWS cloud-native architecture
• Understanding of real-time systems and cloud-based real-time methodologies
• Hands-on experience using AI technologies
• Preferred: enterprise architecture frameworks, AWS Certified Architect certification, high-performance computing and mission-critical systems
