Director Lending Advisor – Corporate Finance

About the role

Citi is seeking a Director‑level Lending Advisor to join its Lending Advisory business in London. The role combines deep product expertise, credit underwriting, and client relationship management to deliver tailored financing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the structuring, origination, and marketing of a full range of lending products.
• Collaborate with Private Bankers to conduct due diligence, underwriting, and approval processes for new facilities.
• Negotiate and finalize credit documentation, ensuring compliance with Credit Policy and Risk Acceptance standards.
• Define transaction and covenant frameworks, oversee analytical activities, and prepare credit and capital allocation memos.
• Drive revenue generation while maintaining responsible lending growth and meeting return targets.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a lending product specialist and credit officer within a banking environment.
• Proven ability to manage client coverage, conduct thorough credit analysis, and make sound credit judgments.
• Strong commercial awareness and the capacity to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience working closely with Private Bankers and handling complex deal teams.
