Director, Litigation & Regulatory Affairs

About the role

The Director, Litigation & Regulatory Affairs leads Sitecore’s global approach to disputes, investigations, software license compliance and regulatory readiness. Reporting to the General Counsel, this senior position has broad international scope and high visibility across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global disputes portfolio, covering employment, commercial, vendor, license compliance and regulatory matters.
• Lead early case assessment, develop litigation strategy, and advise on settlement posture.
• Manage matters from investigation through resolution, including legal holds, discovery, mediation, arbitration and court proceedings.
• Oversee software license compliance and entitlement enforcement in partnership with Finance, Sales and Product teams.
• Direct responses to regulatory inquiries, handling strategy, documentation, remediation and executive updates.
• Translate legal developments into practical policies, controls, training and templates.
• Support sensitive internal investigations and provide concise reporting to senior leaders.
• Manage outside counsel, budgets, staffing and performance, strengthening playbooks and escalation processes.

Required profile

• Significant post‑qualification experience in litigation, regulatory disputes, investigations or software license compliance.
• Proven ability to manage complex matters from early assessment through resolution and to develop strategic recommendations.
• Strong judgment across legal, commercial, financial, operational and reputational risk.
• Deep knowledge of legal holds, document preservation, privilege, discovery and confidential communications.
• Track record of translating legal requirements into practical business processes.
• Excellent communication and project‑management skills with high attention to detail.
• Collaborative approach and credibility to build trust with senior leaders.
• Based in Dublin or London with the right to work in the jurisdiction and willingness to travel occasionally.
