Director of Development & Regeneration

About the role

Walsall Housing Group is seeking a senior leader to shape the future of housing and regeneration across the Midlands. Reporting to the Corporate Director of Development, you will drive an ambitious programme to deliver at least 2,000 high‑quality, sustainable homes by 2030.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Development, Sales and Marketing teams to meet performance, budget and quality targets.
• Develop and execute implementation plans that embed the customer voice and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Homes England, the West Midlands Combined Authority, local authorities, developers and other key stakeholders.
• Influence and deliver innovative projects focused on sustainability, place‑making and building safety.
• Contribute to the Directors’ Group, helping shape organisational transformation and sector leadership.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in housing, construction or related sectors.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Proactive approach to risk and resource management.
• Passion for delivering tangible community impact.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary between £110,000 and £120,000 per annum.
