Director of Global Programs

About the role

More in Common is seeking a Director of Global Programs to lead and expand its cross‑country research and thought‑leadership initiatives. This senior position reports directly to the CEO and will be based in one of the organization’s hubs across Europe or the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and deliver multi‑country research projects that generate actionable insights on polarization, immigration, online safety, climate, and democracy.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with international networks, foundations, and policy makers to secure funding and amplify impact.
• Collaborate closely with country directors to align global programs with national strategies and identify synergies.
• Represent More in Common at conferences, roundtables, and bilateral meetings, occasionally standing in for the CEO.
• Oversee program budgets, reporting, and evaluation to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale, multi‑country programs in the nonprofit or research sector.
• Strong track record of fundraising and building strategic partnerships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commitment to the mission of reducing social and political polarization.
