About the role
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) is looking for a senior leader to shape the future of its professional qualifications, learning programmes and assessment frameworks. Reporting to senior executives, you will drive strategy, innovation and governance to keep the qualification portfolio relevant for a global accountancy profession.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end‑to‑end strategy, design and development of ICAS qualifications and learning pathways.
- Define product and assessment strategies, ensuring integrity, compliance and quality assurance.
- Provide governance and oversight for qualification lifecycle and regulatory alignment.
- Engage with external stakeholders, regulators and industry partners to influence education policy.
- Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, fostering change and high performance.
Required profile
- Chartered accountancy qualification or an equivalent professional credential.
- Extensive experience in qualification strategy, design and implementation.
- Proven senior leadership and executive‑level influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks affecting professional education.
