Director Wealth Manager

About the role

You will lead the delivery of comprehensive wealth management and financial planning solutions for a portfolio of high‑net‑worth individuals, families and charities. Working from our Birmingham office, you will inherit an existing client base while actively seeking new relationships through referrals and professional networks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of affluent clients, providing tailored advice across investments, retirement, estate and tax planning.
• Develop long‑term trusted relationships through proactive client engagement and regular reviews.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities via networking, referrals and introducer connections.
• Present sophisticated wealth planning proposals that meet each client’s unique objectives.
• Contribute to individual and team revenue targets.
• Leverage technology and process improvements to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior colleagues and help foster a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Level 6 or Level 7 financial planning qualification (or equivalent professional credential).
• Proven track record as a Wealth Manager, Financial Planner or Private Client Adviser.
• Strong technical knowledge of investments, tax planning, retirement and estate planning.
• Experience managing relationships with high‑net‑worth clients.
• Excellent business development, networking and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercial mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional client outcomes.
