Dispatch Operative

About the role

We are seeking a Dispatch Operative to join a busy production and logistics team at a well‑established manufacturing business in Hatfield. The role involves preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely dispatch.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and pack finished products for dispatch.
• Accurately label products and shipments according to customer requirements.
• Weigh items and record dispatch information.
• Complete shipping paperwork and maintain dispatch records.
• Verify order accuracy before dispatch.
• Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to meet delivery deadlines.
• Keep the dispatch area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Assist with loading and unloading deliveries as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in dispatch, warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to perform basic administrative duties.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and warehouse systems.
• Capable of working in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
