About the role
Join Specsavers in Hayes as a Dispensing Optician Apprentice. You will continue your work as an Optical Assistant while undertaking a structured apprenticeship that leads to full qualification as a Dispensing Optician.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver professional practice and patient care in the optical store.
- Develop dispensing skills, including complex and specialist dispensing.
- Provide low‑vision solutions and visual aids to customers.
- Enhance clinical awareness and communication with patients and the team.
- Contribute to a welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years experience as an Optical Assistant.
- 5 GCSEs (grades 4‑9) including Maths, English and Science.
- Employment contract of at least 30 hours per week.
- Resident of England with the right to work and study for the full apprenticeship duration.
- Not currently enrolled in another government‑funded course.
- Motivated, eager to progress and passionate about patient care.
