Dispensing Optician Manager

About the role

The Dispensing Optician Manager will lead an established independent optical practice in Knaphill, Woking. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the practice, ensuring high‑quality, personalised eye care while motivating a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of the practice, including appointment scheduling and clinical workflow.
• Manage, support and develop the optician and support staff to maintain consistently high standards.
• Provide hands‑on training and mentorship, handling complex dispensing cases and patient queries.
• Maintain and optimise the use of modern clinical equipment, including Zeiss systems.
• Ensure compliance with GOC regulations and professional standards.

Required profile

• Fully qualified Dispensing Optician registered with the General Optical Council.
• Proven experience in managing and leading a team in an optical setting.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Passion for quality eyewear and premium frame brands.
• Patient‑focused with a commitment to excellent service.
