About the role

The Dispensing Optician Manager will oversee the daily operations of a high‑end independent optical practice in Wilmslow. The role blends clinical expertise with a passion for design‑led eyewear, ensuring every patient receives a bespoke experience from consultation through to collection.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day running of the practice, maintaining high standards of presentation and service.
• Guide patients through the full journey, providing expert dispensing advice tailored to lifestyle, prescription and design.
• Work with a curated selection of premium eyewear brands sourced globally.
• Support, mentor and develop the wider team within a collaborative environment.
• Uphold the practice’s reputation for quality‑led, patient‑focused service.

Required profile

• GOC‑registered dispensing optician.
• Genuine passion for optics, eyewear craftsmanship and style.
• Strong communication and patient‑care abilities.
• Experience in supporting or leading a team within an optical setting.
• Commitment to quality over volume in an independent practice.
