Dispensing Optician – Milton Keynes

About the role

As a qualified Dispensing Optician at Specsavers in Milton Keynes, you will provide expert eye‑care advice and dispense spectacles and contact lenses to a diverse customer base. You will work within a modern, two‑floor store that offers eight testing rooms and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eye examinations and assess visual needs.
• Dispense spectacles, contact lenses and related accessories.
• Provide professional advice on lens options, frame selection and eye‑health.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage order processing.
• Support trainee dispensing opticians and collaborate with store partners.
• Ensure compliance with ABDO and GOC standards.

Required profile

• BSc (Hons) in Ophthalmic Dispensing or equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of optics and audiology pathways.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Passionate, people‑focused and a reliable team player.
• Willingness to work one weekend day as part of the rota.
