District Caretaker (Scale 4) – Skelmersdale

About the role
We are looking for a District Caretaker (Scale 4) to join our Facilities Services team at Westgate in Skelmersdale. You will help maintain the local area by operating a range of landscaping equipment and carrying out basic DIY tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Operate handheld plant such as weed sprayers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, blowers and jet washes.
- Perform routine grounds‑maintenance and basic DIY repairs.
- Follow health and safety policies and adhere to company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the manual operational service team to meet high‑standard outcomes.
Required profile
- Clear understanding of basic DIY techniques.
- Full driving licence is desirable.
- Experience working in a manual, operational service environment.
- Commitment to health and safety and policy compliance.
