Divisional Director – Social Care

About the role

This senior position leads a diverse portfolio of residential homes that support adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex needs across the South and South‑East of England. You will shape service quality, operational performance and financial sustainability while driving innovation and improving outcomes for the people we support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all residential homes.
• Ensure high‑quality, person‑centred service delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead financial performance, occupancy growth and budget management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with commissioners, local authorities and key stakeholders.
• Reduce agency usage and improve workforce stability.
• Lead service improvement initiatives and manage operational change programmes.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks across the service portfolio.
• Support the development and delivery of the organisation’s overall strategy.

Required profile

• Significant senior leadership experience in adult social care (e.g., Regional Director, Care Director, Operations Director).
• Proven track record of leading multiple services and delivering operational improvement.
• Strong financial and commercial awareness, including budget management and performance accountability.
• Experience building relationships with commissioners, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Ability to inspire and develop Area Managers, Registered Managers and operational teams.
