Doctor Functional Assessor – Hybrid Permanent Role

About the role

We are seeking a GMC‑registered Doctor to join our team as a Functional Assessor. Working hybrid on a permanent basis, you will evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life and produce factual reports that inform the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) eligibility decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional assessments for a diverse range of medical and mental health conditions.
• Analyse how disabilities affect everyday activities and document findings accurately.
• Prepare detailed written reports for DWP to support benefit determinations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge and adhere to professional standards.

Required profile

• GMC‑registered Doctor with at least one year of post‑registration experience in the UK.
• Proactive learner with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to produce detailed reports.
• Experienced in managing complex cases, including mental health conditions.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnostic expertise.
• Report writing and documentation.
• Computer literacy for data entry and report generation.
