Document Controller – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to join a leading contractor’s project team in Central London. This full‑time, site‑based position supports multiple construction schemes and will eventually lead the document control function on a flagship project.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documentation across several sites using an electronic document management system (EDMS).
• Ensure document control processes comply with contractor standards and client requirements.
• Process timesheets, raise and update purchase orders, and order stationery or site equipment as needed.
• Provide general administrative assistance to the project team, including ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Document Controller within the construction industry.
• Hands‑on experience with EDMS platforms such as Asite, Aconex or Procore.
• Background working for a contractor or construction‑related business.
• Ability to work both on‑site and from a head‑office environment.

• Salary £40,000‑£45,000 per annum (permanent) or £16‑£20 per hour (self‑employed).
