Domestic Assistant – Care Home Cleaner

About the role

As a Domestic Assistant at Etheldred House Care Home, you will join a compassionate housekeeping team dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents. The role involves daily cleaning duties and occasional deep‑cleaning tasks, ensuring high standards of hygiene throughout the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.
• Perform deep‑cleaning on a rota, including floors, soft furnishings, fixtures, fittings, windows and walls.
• Dispose of rubbish and manage waste responsibly.
• Report equipment failures or maintenance issues in line with policies.
• Follow COSHH and infection‑control regulations.
• Engage with residents, promoting independence, dignity and respect.

Required profile

What we offer

• £13.45 per hour, 30 hours per week (full‑time) with part‑time options.
• Shift pattern: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday to Sunday, with alternate weekends.
