Domestic Assistant – Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our team at Osprey Court Care Home. In this hands‑on position you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, supporting their dignity and comfort every day.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Maintain and tidy shared spaces, ensuring a pleasant presentation.
• Assist with laundry services, handling personal belongings with care.
• Follow infection‑control, health and safety, and cleaning procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team to support a respectful environment.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Previous experience in domestic or housekeeping roles is welcomed but not essential.

Required skills

• Understanding of basic hygiene and infection‑control practices.

• Hourly rate of £12.71.
• Full‑time or part‑time flexible shift patterns.
