Domestic Assistant

About the role

Join the Support Services team at St Andrews Community Hospital as a Domestic Assistant. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across wards and hospital departments, ensuring a safe environment for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties in patient wards, corridors, and clinical areas.
• Maintain supplies of cleaning materials and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Follow infection‑control procedures and health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Work independently or as part of a team during the back‑shift (approximately 4 pm‑8 pm).

Required profile

• Positive attitude towards work and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Commitment to complete the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme registration.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
