Domestic Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Domestic Assistant to join our brand‑new luxury care home in Matlock, Derbyshire. You will help create a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our 78 residents, supporting their wellbeing, dignity and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high standards of hygiene and presentation.
• Assist with laundry services, ensuring personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and cleaning procedures at all times.
• Work closely with the wider care team to maintain a respectful and comfortable environment.

Required profile

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial; previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

• Hourly rate of £12.71.
• Zero‑hours contract with flexible hours.
