Domestic Assistant – Part‑time (10am‑2pm)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Domestic Assistant to join our team at Loran House Care Home in Hull. Working Monday‑Friday from 10 am to 2 pm, you will help maintain a clean, safe and dignified environment for 46 residents with a range of health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, wash, dry and iron residents’ personal clothing and household linen to a high standard.
• Apply thermal disinfection and follow strict infection‑control procedures where required.
• Inspect laundry items for damage and report any repairs needed to the Hotel Services Manager.
• Maintain tidy laundry rooms, equipment and linen cupboards, ensuring stock levels are adequate.
• Observe health and safety policies and report any risks immediately.
• Provide courteous, professional service to residents, families, colleagues and external visitors.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties assigned by the manager to support the home’s operations.

Required profile

• Patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s abilities and independence.
• Reliable and able to work the fixed 10 am‑2 pm shift.
• Committed to delivering high‑quality care and maintaining hygiene standards.
